The power of an all women's race

I talked them in to racing their first triathlon. Oh my. My relatives. I traveled across the country to do it with them. Grace is an accomplished age group swimmer and I challenged her to "up her game" (which my daughter later chastised me for). Her Mom had been fighting rheumatoid arthritis and just a year earlier couldn't walk around the block. It was a challenge and they were game. It was awesome! For me too....to be there with them! One of my best races ever.......and I've done a lot of them. :)
