MTWTri 2025 / JULY 20
500 Meter Swim / 10 Mile Bike / 3 Mile Run
USAT Sanctioned
Virtual Races '24-'25
TOM AND MOLLY HAYES
MTWTri is a user friendly multisport event in Helena. It starts at the city pool in Memorial Park. The pool is a 50 meter outdoor pool with no deep water. The swim is a 500 meter swim which equals 10 lengths of the pool. The lane is yours until you're done. No pressure. The bike course is a flat 10 mike bike ride through Centennial Park to Ten Mile Park and back. Expect short gravel sections, packed dirt, and paved city trails. There will be help on the course for mechanical problems. The 3 mile run/walk is mostly in Centennial Park cruising on trails past the carousel and back through the tunnel to the park where you can wave your buddies on and have others cheer for you. Do it yourself, do it with your friends, get a three generation team, talk your Mom into signing up.

The goal of the Montana Women’s Triathlon is to empower women to healthy lifestyles through sport. We aspire to bring together a community of women who support and encourage each other through the entire process of training to participating in a multisport event. The success of MTWTri allows us to give back to our community and support organizations who share our passion for healthy lifestyles through athletics. We have been able to support Girls Thrive, YWCA Helena, Running for Montana's Future/The Angel Fund, and our BIPOC initiative to support women of color at our race. Our sponsors help this to happen -Tom and Molly Hayes, St. Peter's Health, Waypoint Realty • Breena Buettner, Christensen and Prezeau Law Firm, Great Divide Cyclery, MT Ascension Physical Therapy, Hammer Nutrition, Girls Thrive, A Fine Balance Multisport Coaching, and all the participants who MAKE it happen. Thank you!
Volunteer
Volunteer meeting Saturday after packet pick-up 4pm -5pm. This is when you will get your assignment, review course, ask questions, and get your volunteer t-shirt. Don't miss it!

Last year we had over 50 volunteers helping us keep a safe and happy course. We can find a perfect spot for your entire family to show their signs of support and help direct traffic at the same time. Racers can help before or after they are done. Please consider helping out if you are a racer, spectating, or maybe just curious to see how the heck this works and what kind of crazy people do this.
WE NEED:

Lap counters - Special qualifications: ability to count to 10. 500meters in a 50m pool. Short and sweet. Great spectating spot.

Bike course guards - mostly to direct bikers on a left or right turn

Run course - always nice to see more smiling faces out there pointing directions
